Kakabeka Falls they are called the Niagra of the North:
.We left Thunder Bay for the extremely nice drive to International Falls the next day. Even though all the leaves aren't out yet it was still very pretty. We saw a lot of deer and some beautiful scenery. Some of the lakes up there still had ice on them, there were patchy areas of snow as well. For lunch we stopped in a small town and asked a very nice lady at a gas station where she recommends we eat lunch. She suggested this restaurant in the local hotel there. She said to try the perogies. They were delicious!! They were made with mashed potatoes, cheese and bacon bits in them. I have had them with cubed potatoes, I liked this better. It was in the Atikokan Hotel. The restaurant was decorated with antiques. Very peaceful place to eat. This hotel was right next to the railroad track. This is where the railroad people would stay when they were building the railroad. Atikokan Hotel

Sounds like you had fun. Everything looked so pretty. Mixing relaxation with work sounds like a great idea.
